Campgrounds - Please be aware, all of these options require a Nebraska State Park sticker for entry. Stickers are available at daily or yearly rates. Some parks will have stickers for sale while others will not. You may want to purchase your sticker before arriving at the park if you are choosing one of the smaller parks. Here is a link to a list of where you can purchase stickers anywhere in the state so you can choose a vendor that is on your route to the campground.
  • Branched Oak - north of Lincoln, about a 20 minute drive to the clubhouse. Large lake with camping, swimming, fishing, and large enough to speed boat on.
  • Wagon Train Lake - just south of Lincoln. Small lake with fishing, beach, and camping at reasonable prices.
  • Pawnee Lake - about a 20 minute drive west of Lincoln. Much larger lake with swimming, camping, fishing, and large enough for speed boating.
  • Mahoney State Park - about 30 minutes east of Lincoln. Large State Park with tons of activities. Camping, hiking, boating, water park, etc. We have had the reunion here in years past. While cabins can be difficult to reserve, camping sites and sometimes motel rooms at the lodge can be available.
